DR MOTO Integrated Programme on Road Safety for Motorcycle Riders
We wish to inform you that an integrated programme on road safety for motorcycle riders named DR MOTO was launched in January 2009 at the Sepang Circuit in Selangor D.E.
This integrated programme has three main objectives, that is:
1. To
bring together all parties including all authorities (road safety),
manufacturers / producers of components and spare parts for
motorcycles, Team LCR-Honda Moto GP, community clubs and motorcycle
clubs to tackle the issue of road safety particularly for motorcyclists
in Malaysia.
2. Propagate education on road safety and a campaign to eradicate ‘mat rempit’ habits amongst motorcycling youth.
3. Establish
an information channel for local authorities, manufacturers / producers
of motorcycle components, community clubs and local motorcycle groups
on issues and campaign on road safety in the country.
The campaign on Road Safety (Motorcyclist) is educational in nature and this information has been launched since April 2009 in www.drmoto.com.my and a series of 13 episodes talk-show / comedy-technical of 1 hour per episode shall make its debut soon.
